Sacramento, California, May 16th, 2001: Pixelpushers Inc., a leading web and technology group, announced the launch today of its Civica Software Division and the Civica Software Suite at the Government Technology Conference in Sacramento.
Developed in conjunction with local governments, the Civica Suite is a modular system of fully customizable and locally managed e-government solutions designed to inform citizens, connect them to their governments, and streamline the management process.
"The migration of many local government and education services to the Internet is inevitable," said Martin Alper, Chairman of the Pixelpushers Group.
Based on the premise that local governments should be empowered to manage without undue reliance on vendors, Civica Software has developed a modular suite of software that resides on a public agency's server and can be easily maintained by their existing staff on a daily basis without IT involvement.
Integration capability with legacy systems and best of breed third party applications is built in, allowing local governments to take advantage of growth opportunities at a significant cost savings over alternative systems.
"There is a strong demand building by citizens who expect improved access to all aspects of their local governments," Mr. Alper continued. "Forward thinking communities have begun to respond to their constituents and implement well designed electronic solutions. The transition to e-government is simplified by the introduction of powerful applications such as Civica Software."
